Elversberg bows out of competition despite spirited performance

TSG Hoffenheim eased past Regionalliga Südwest side SpVgg Elversberg 07 Bolt 3-0 in the first round of the DFB-Pokal on Friday. Munas Dabbur opened the scoring for Hoffenheim in the 18th minute, tapping home from close range after Andrej Kramaric's shot was parried by Elversberg goalkeeper Nicolas Kristof. The Israeli striker doubled his tally in the 32nd minute, heading in a cross from Pavel Kaderabek. Hoffenheim continued to dominate the game after the break and added a third goal in the 60th minute through Christoph Baumgartner, who fired home from the edge of the box.
